Welcome! This blog is here to chronicle my knitting graffiti awareness project. The purpose is to raise awareness of sexism and other oppressions in the world through knitting. Here is a photo of my first tag.
Femmy, since I haven't found a way to reply to Blogger comments by email, I'm posting here and in my blog in hopes you'll see one or the other answer! According to my sketchy notes, the brown was 4 packs of Ice Blue and 2 packs of Tamarindo. I was expecting to to come out as olive green, but the brown is OK, too. If you go back to my post, I'm adding the recipes for all 5 colors.
"Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, staved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions . . . for safety on the streets . . . for child care, for social welfare . . . for rape crisis centers, women's refuges, reforms in the laws. If someone says 'Oh, I'm not a feminist,' I ask 'Why? What's your problem?'" -- Dale Spender, For the Record: The Making and Meaning of Feminist Knowledge.
